A place of authentic beauty
Kalamos Lefkada is a small, green island in the Ionian Sea that maintains its traditional character and authentic Greek hospitality unchanged. Away from the hustle and bustle of major tourist destinations, Kalamos offers an experience of serenity, natural beauty, and simplicity.
The picturesque port, with its colorful boats and calm waters, is the heart of the island. There the rhythm of everyday life beats, with the inhabitants living in harmony with the sea, preserving the traditions passed down from generation to generation.
The clear blue waters, the small coves and the green slopes create a unique landscape that combines mountain and sea. The visitor can enjoy calm moments, authentic flavors and the feeling of a place that remains genuine.
Kalamos is not just a destination; It is an experience of returning to the essence of the Greek summer.
Kalamos is connected to mainland Greece through Mytikas, a small port in Aetolia-Acarnania. The ferry runs several routes daily, as it is the only service for locals to transport supplies and move to the mainland.
From Lefkada:
There is a connection with a KTEL bus via Preveza to Mytikas, as well as boats or speedboats that connect Lefkada with Kalamos.
From Athens:
By car to Mytikas (about 4 hours) and then by ferry (15-20 minutes).
The journey here is part of the experience — the boat ride, the view of the island popping up, the feeling of leaving the noise behind and entering another world.
Whether you arrive by your own boat or by ferry from Mytikas, Kalamos awaits you with open arms and a full table. Here, the sea is not just a view—it is the source of every taste, every story, every moment.
Our restaurant has been standing in the harbor for 100 years, welcoming fishermen, sailors, travelers and those who understand that true gastronomy is not a fad — it is a tradition.
